Eastern Patrician Roman 15mm DBA Army

Having recently completed an Early Byzantine army, I added some additional figures from Gladiator Games (Equities, Clibanarii, Auxilia Palatina) to morph it into an Eastern Patrician Roman army - Book II/82.

The General (Kn), Clibanarii (4Kn) and Equites (3Kn)

Eastern Legionaries

Auxilia Palatina and Mobile Baggage

Archers and Psiloi

Allied Hunnic Light Horse

Early Byzantine 15mm DBA Army

Having recently re-read Robert Graves' 'Count Belisarius' and seeing the new range of Cromarty Forge Late Romans, I was inspired to paint up an Early Byzantine army for DBA 3.0.

The figures are a mix of Cromarty Forge (for the cavalry), Gladiator (for the huns, light archers and skutatoi) and Forged in Battle (for the auxilia and Goths).  As per usual the figures are painted in acrylics and gloss varnished.

Nubian Psiloi

Finished the alternate archer elements for the Nubian DBA army - you can choose to have the archers either as Bow or Psiloi.  Alas too late for Andy's using them last week, but all ready for the next Biblical DBA bash.  Once again the figures are Gladiator Miniatures.

Nubian DBA Army

Finally got round to photographing a finished 15mm Nubian DBA Army.  The figures are by Gladiator Games and the camp element is scratch built - it's based around a cheap scarab key ring bought from Amazon.

New Kingdom Egyptian DBA Army

Having finished the Hittites, I thought I'd dig out and photograph their historical opponents - the New Kingdom Egyptian army of Ramesses II.  I painted these 14 years ago in 2002 for the Anderida DBM tournament (the figures shown here are 12 elements suitable for DBA; I have the complete DBM army in boxes under my desk, and the trophy for 'Best Painted Army' too).  The figures are admirably chunky Gladiator Miniatures.  The Stargate was my whimsical baggage element - scratch built, with Irregular Miniatures soldiers (I think).

All ready then for a DBA re-enactment of Kadesh...
