Communal Italian 15mm DBA Army

It had taken me a while to source and paint up a camp element for my 15mm Communal Italian DBA army (Book III/73) but having done that I can now post some photos.  I decided to paint the army as that of medieval Venice. The figures are mostly by Mirliton, but there are also a couple of Museum Miniatures plus a few old Corvus Belli in there too. The army has had 2 outings so far - defeating Early Crusaders, but losing to Lombards.

Southern Sung Chinese 15mm DBA Army

Had time today to take pictures of the Southern Sung Chinese army by Essex miniatures that Andy got me for Xmas 2025 - supplemented with some lovely resin figures from Ten Kingdoms. These are the Southern Sung, DBA army III/62b, dating from between 1127 and 1279AD.  The army has had two outings so far, both times defeating Samurai armies.

Eastern Patrician Roman 15mm DBA Army

Having recently completed an Early Byzantine army, I added some additional figures from Gladiator Games (Equities, Clibanarii, Auxilia Palatina) to morph it into an Eastern Patrician Roman army - Book II/82.

Early Byzantine 15mm DBA Army

Having recently re-read Robert Graves' 'Count Belisarius' and seeing the new range of Cromarty Forge Late Romans, I was inspired to paint up an Early Byzantine army for DBA 3.0.

The figures are a mix of Cromarty Forge (for the cavalry), Gladiator (for the huns, light archers and skutatoi) and Forged in Battle (for the auxilia and Goths).  As per usual the figures are painted in acrylics and gloss varnished.

The army with all the options - essentially the choice is taking 5 x Cavalry or 5 x Light Horse, and the choice of the Gothic knights, or one element of auxiliary
